This game was written for the Solovember Game Jam, and is the solo version of a larger game that is in the works.

The world has fallen apart, the end of days has come and gone, and as some try to pick up the pieces, there are strange things going bump in the night more than ever before... That's where you come in. As an Agent of Midnight InstituteX, your job is to seek out these aberrations, these cryptids and creepies, and to bring them in for further study if possible. Protecting humanity is our number one goal... But there are those who wish to use these enigmatic events and curious creatures for their own ends, whatever they may be.

Beware the Shadow Society.

This game uses the Powered by the Apocalypse engine, made by D. Vincent Baker and Meguey Baker based on the Apocalypse World game by the same creators, as well as being a Carved from Brindlewood game, taking inspiration from the mystery mechanics in Brindlewood Bay/The Between by Jason Cordova and The Gauntlet. Additionally, this solo version takes inspiration from Cozy, Murder, Solo by Parts Per Million.
